Position Overview

SJP Enterprises is seeking a reliable and professional Petroleum Hazmat Tanker Driver to safely load, transport, and deliver petroleum products. This role requires a strong safety mindset, excellent customer service, and adherence to all DOT and company regulations.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
  • TWIC Card required
  • Clean driving record (no DUI, careless, or reckless driving violations)
  • Must meet FMCSA Clearinghouse requirements (49 CFR Part 382.701 Subpart (a); pre-employment query required)
  • Minimum 25 years of age

Experience

  • At least 1 year of tanker driving experience
  • Experience in petroleum hauling preferred
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to pass and maintain a DOT physical exam
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to push/pull loading arms requiring 40–50 lbs of lateral force several times daily

Position Overview

The Fuel Delivery Dispatcher plays a mission-critical role in our daily operations, serving as the command center for driver coordination and customer communication. This role requires a highly organized, decisive professional who can manage multiple priorities in real time while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

You will act as the central link between drivers, customers, and internal teams—ensuring efficient routing, proactive issue resolution, and seamless delivery execution.

Key Responsibilities

Route Strategy & Optimization

  • Plan and manage daily delivery routes for a fleet of 5–10 drivers, maximizing efficiency, timeliness, and service quality
  • Make real-time routing adjustments based on traffic, weather, and customer needs

Fleet & Operations Coordination

  • Monitor driver progress using dispatch systems and GPS tracking tools
  • Manage driver schedules, attendance, and daily workflow execution
  • Coordinate closely with Account Managers and operations teams to meet service expectations

Customer & Driver Communications

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers and customers
  • Handle inbound calls, service requests, and issue resolution with urgency and professionalism
  • Maintain clear, proactive communication to minimize service disruptions

Safety & Performance Management

  • Promote and reinforce a strong safety-first culture across the driver team
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, delivery accuracy, and operational performance

Data & Market Awareness

  • Track fuel pricing trends and loading preferences to support operational planning
  • Assist with data collection and reporting for driver performance and incentive programs

Job Qualifications

Qualifications Experience

  • Previous dispatching or logistics coordination experience preferred

OR

  • Valid Class A or B CDL with relevant driving experience

  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip reports, and documentation
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with dispatch and internal teams
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and vendors
  • Ensure proper handling and secure transport of hazardous materials

Compensation & Benefits

  • Weekly gross earnings: $5,000 – $8,000
